Instructions for New Clients & Consultations in Quarantine

We hope this post finds you and your loved ones safe and healthy during these difficult times. Given all the uncertainty surrounding the pandemic, we recognize you may also have uncertainty and questions related to separation, divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, division of property and more. We are here for you.

Since March 30, 2020, the State of North Carolina has been under Governor Cooper’s Stay at Home Order. Like most businesses, we have primarily transitioned to work-from-home during the quarantine to keep our employees and clients safe. We are not currently scheduling in-person consultations. However, Parker Bryan Family Law is committed to continuing to serve clients safely and effectively. For the duration of the order, this will occur through a suite of digital resources.

For instance, when a new client calls into the office line, the call will be answered by our live receptionist as it has always been. The call will then be securely redirected to one of our paralegals, who will determine the availability of the attorney best suited for your case and help you schedule a virtual consultation with him or her. We are currently offering consultations via telephone and a variety of videoconferencing platforms, including Zoom, Webex, GoToMeeting and Skype.

In addition, preserving client confidentiality is paramount for us. Therefore, we can provide a secure, encrypted link via email which you can use to safely upload your initial intake forms or documents, including sensitive financial documents, for an attorney’s review prior to your consultation.

Throughout this time, we remain committed to you and your family. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We would be happy to take your call.
