Parker Bryan Family Law Announces Promotion of Imogen J. Baxter to Partner

We are thrilled to announce that Imogen J. Baxter has been promoted to Partner at Parker Bryan Family Law. Since joining our team in 2022, Imogen has proven to be an invaluable asset, showcasing exceptional legal skills and a steadfast commitment to client success. Her positive collaboration with fellow attorneys and support staff has greatly contributed to our firm’s culture.

As a Board-Certified Specialist in Family Law since 2023, Imogen specializes in complex legal matters, including negotiating and drafting premarital, postnuptial, and separation agreements, as well as developing effective strategies for equitable distribution. She is a fierce advocate for families in custody, spousal support, and child support matters, and represents families in stepparent adoptions throughout Wake and surrounding counties. With 15 years of experience in alternative dispute resolution and litigation, she has earned the respect of her peers and adversaries alike, known for her kindness and grace under pressure while remaining focused on achieving the best outcomes for her clients.

Imogen was born in South Africa but grew up in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She attended Salem Academy in Winston-Salem, NC, and graduated cum laude from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication. She went on to receive her J.D. with honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law and was admitted to the North Carolina Bar in August 2010.

Following her law school graduation, Imogen clerked for Justice Johann van der Westuizen at the South African Constitutional Court, the country’s highest court on constitutional matters. This prestigious clerkship allowed her to work alongside leading legal scholars instrumental in the development of South Africa’s innovative Constitution, including contemporaries of Nelson Mandela. She also has clerked for the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the North Carolina Supreme Court.

Outside of her legal practice, Imogen enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Brad, and their beloved dogs, Finley, a Great Pyrenees mix, and Reggie, a Chow Chow. Please join us in congratulating Imogen on this well-deserved promotion!
